There’s something so timeless and romantic about a Washington, DC engagement session— especially when it’s at one of the city’s most iconic spots. I had the absolute joy of photographing Jessica and Tregg’s engagement session at the Lincoln Memorial, and despite the off-and-on rain, their love brought so much warmth and light to the day.
Jessica looked stunning in a bold red dress that popped beautifully against the soft, overcast sky and the historic marble backdrop. Tregg complimented her perfectly, and together they brought such a natural chemistry that made my job feel effortless.
The drizzle didn’t slow us down one bit! We embraced the rain with clear umbrellas. These not only kept us dry but also added a dreamy, romantic touch to the photos. I always have a couple of these on hand for circumstances just like this!
We made sure to take advantage of the Reflecting Pool as well, with the Washington Monument peeking through the mist.
Jessica and Tregg, thank you for trusting me to capture this exciting chapter of your love story. Your energy and laughter were contagious, and I’m so excited for everything that’s ahead for you two!

Most iconic spots in DC—like the Lincoln Memorial, Reflecting Pool, and other areas managed by the National Park Service—require a photography permit for professional sessions. The cost is usually around $140. I can help guide you through the process or handle it on your behalf if needed. It’s a small step that ensures we can shoot without interruption!
